This Awful Day

It all started with an awful more info morning. My alarm clock decided to explode, and I was running around like a chicken without its head, trying to find the right thing to wear.

Then, on my way to school/work/that important meeting, I stumbled and broke my ankle! It was totally painful. I had to call a taxi, which took forever, and when I finally arrived at my destination, everything was chaos. My boss/teacher/friend was annoyed with me, and the rest of the day just spiraled out of control.

To top it all off, I dropped my phone in the toilet, and it was officially toast. By the end of the day, I just wanted to disappear. This was definitely a day I'll never forget.

It's not a place anyone wants to be, but sometimes that's what happens.

It was a catastrophe/a disaster/a complete and utter mess. From the very start/beginning/onset, things were going wrong/headed south/falling apart. We tried our best/put in a valiant effort/gave it our all, but it was no use/didn't help/came to naught. Every plan/strategy/attempt we made/formulated/conjured up backfired spectacularly/went awry/proved disastrous. It was like chaos reigned supreme/a hurricane swept through/the world decided to conspire against us. Honestly, it's a miracle anything worked at all/survived/remained intact after this whole predicament/situation/fiasco.

Epic Fail of Scale

It was a debacle of unimaginable proportions. The entire project fell apart in a firestorm of epic scale. Dozens of resources were wasted, and the team was left devastated. The blame {wasfell on a intricate web of oversights, each one more horrifying than the last.
